What is Troton Nano Ceramic Coating Matt?

Troton Nano Ceramic Coating Matt is a ceramic protective coating specially developed for matt and satin finishes. It protects automotive paintwork and other matt surfaces against wear, dirt and environmental damage while preserving the original matt finish.

Unlike conventional coatings that enhance gloss, Troton Nano Ceramic Coating Matt deepens the colour without changing the surface's gloss level. The result is a natural-looking, clean and well-protected matt finish.

The coating creates an extremely smooth, water-repellent or hydrophobic protective layer that reduces dirt adhesion and makes car washing easier. It also provides effective protection against UV radiation, road salt, chemicals and other environmental stresses.

A single application can provide up to 2 years of protection, and the easy single-layer application makes the treatment straightforward without complicated steps.

Where can the ceramic coating for matt finishes be used?

Troton Nano Ceramic Coating Matt is suitable for protecting various matt and satin surfaces.

  • Matt and satin automotive paint finishes
  • Matt PPF (paint protection films)
  • Matt vehicle wraps and vinyl films
  • Carbon fibre components
  • Matt-finished motorcycle parts
  • Other suitable matt and satin surfaces

The coating is an excellent choice for matt-finished vehicles where the original appearance needs to be preserved without glossy patches or changes in the surface's gloss level.

How to apply Troton Nano Ceramic Coating Matt

  1. Clean the surface. Wash the vehicle thoroughly and make sure the surface is completely clean, dry and free from grease and wax.
  2. Prepare the applicator. Thoroughly moisten the included application pad with the coating before starting.
  3. Apply the coating. Work on a small area at a time. Apply the coating evenly using a crosshatch pattern with horizontal and vertical movements. Add another 5–6 drops to the applicator as needed to keep it moist throughout the application.
  4. Allow the coating to settle. Leave the coating for approximately 5 minutes. The exact time may vary depending on temperature and humidity.
  5. Finish the surface. Carefully wipe the treated area with a clean microfibre cloth until the finish is even and no untreated areas or excess coating remain.
  6. Allow the coating to cure. Protect the treated surface from water for at least 24 hours. Do not wash the vehicle during the first 7 days, as the coating develops its final hardness and chemical resistance during this period.

Note! Do not apply the coating to a hot surface or in direct sunlight. The recommended application temperature is +10–25 °C, and the product should not be used at temperatures above +30 °C. After application, keep the vehicle at a temperature above +10 °C.

Frequently asked questions about Troton Nano Ceramic Coating Matt

Will the matt surface become glossy after applying the coating?

No. Troton Nano Ceramic Coating Matt is designed to preserve the original matt or satin finish of the paintwork. It enhances the depth of the colour without increasing surface gloss.

How long does the ceramic coating last?

According to the manufacturer, the coating provides protection for up to 2 years. Actual durability depends on vehicle use, washing habits and environmental conditions.

Can the coating be applied over matt vehicle wraps?

Yes! The coating is also suitable for matt vinyl wraps, PPF paint protection films and carbon fibre components.

What are the benefits of ceramic coating on a matt finish?

Matt finishes require special care because they cannot be polished in the same way as conventional glossy paintwork. A ceramic coating makes dirt and water easier to remove while protecting the surface against environmental damage.

Does the coating protect against scratches?

The coating has a hardness rating of 8H and helps reduce minor wash marks and micro-scratches. However, it does not make the paintwork completely scratch-proof and does not replace a PPF film designed to protect against stone chips.

How should a ceramic-coated matt finish be maintained?

We recommend hand washing with pH-neutral cleaning products. Avoid automatic car washes, gloss-enhancing products and conventional car waxes. Use care products specifically designed for matt finishes and thoroughly remove accumulated contaminants every 6–12 months.

Can multiple layers of the coating be applied?

Troton Nano Ceramic Coating Matt is designed for single-layer application. An even application according to the manufacturer's instructions is sufficient to form a protective coating.
