What is Mipa EPX?

Mipa EP-Expressprimer EPX is a chromate-free 2K epoxy primer for anti-corrosion priming of cars and heavy vehicles and as an adhesion primer on various substrates. It combines the properties of a filler primer and an adhesion primer, and it can also be used wet-on-wet.

The product is suitable, for example, for car restoration and for priming after sandblasting.

Frequently asked questions about epoxy primer

How quickly does the primer dry?
Wet-on-wet, the drying time is 20–30 minutes at 20 °C. The surface is ready for sanding in 3–4 hours.

Does the primer need thinning?
No. The mixing ratio is 1:1, and the paint does not need thinning.

Which hardener is needed?
Mipa EPH epoxy hardener. It is sold separately.

Can I apply filler over the primer?
Yes, once the primer has dried.
