Paint Mist, Dry Surface
During the spraying process, paint mist settles on the surface, making it rough and full of tiny particles, which results in loss of gloss.
Description: Cause:
- Incorrect spraying technique: the spray gun is held too far from the surface, not perpendicular to it, sprayed too quickly, or used with excessively high air pressure.
- Incorrect viscosity or thinner.
- The spray gun is held too close to the surface, causing the paint mist to adhere easily.
- Poor ventilation in the spray booth.
- Failure to cover parts that do not need to be painted.
- A dirty or damaged spray gun.
Correction:
- Primer coat: Allow it to dry, then sand it.
- Topcoat: Lightly sand the final dry spray coat and polish.
