Poor Drying
The paint film does not dry properly after the normal drying time and may require an extra-long drying period or not harden at all.
Cause:
- Incorrect mixing ratio for 2K paint (too much or too little hardener).
- Inappropriate hardener.
- Temperature does not reach the required level. Generally, if the temperature is below 10°C, the drying process slows down significantly.
- Excessive paint layer thickness.
- Poor weather conditions and inadequate ventilation.
- Insufficient, poor quality, or incorrect thinner.
- Incorrect application method.
Correction:
- Increase the drying temperature to ensure proper curing of the paint film.
- If the paint film does not dry properly even after increasing the temperature, sand or remove the paint and repaint.
