Troton Airflex – Multi-Purpose and Flexible Polyester Putty for Fast Car Body Repairs
Troton Airflex is a high-quality 2-component polyester putty designed for fast and durable automotive body repairs. It combines the best properties of both filling and finishing putties in one product, making the repair process efficient and effortless.
This putty is ideal for repairing dents, uneven surfaces, and other damage on both metal and plastic parts. Its high flexibility makes it an excellent choice for surfaces exposed to vibration and deformation, such as bumpers and other plastic components.
Its lightweight and fine-textured formula allows for easy application and an exceptionally smooth finish. The self-levelling feature reduces sanding work and speeds up the entire repair process.

Suitable Substrates
Troton Airflex offers excellent adhesion to a wide range of materials:
- Various plastics (PP, EPDM, ABS, PC, PPO, PA, RTPU, PBTP, PVC, PUR, PUR foam, UP-GF)
- Steel and aluminum (after sanding and degreasing)
- Galvanized steel (after sanding and degreasing)
- Fiberglass (GFK/GRP)
- Polyester putties
- Acrylic and epoxy primers
- Existing coatings in good condition
Note: Do not apply directly over reactive primers, 1K acrylic products, or nitrocellulose coatings.
Technical Specifications
- Mixing ratio: 100 : 2 (putty : hardener)
- Pot life: approx. 5–7 min / +20°C
- Hardening time: approx. 25–35 min / +20°C
- Recommended layer thickness: max. 3 mm
- Sanding (dry):
- coarse: P100–P120
- finishing: P120–P320
- Clean and degrease the surface thoroughly before application
- Mix the putty and hardener in a 100:2 ratio until the color is uniform
- Apply several thin layers (max. 3 mm per layer)
- Allow each layer to cure before applying the next one
- Sand the surface to the desired smoothness
Lower temperatures significantly increase the drying time.
Overcoating
Once cured, the putty can be overcoated with:
- 2K polyester putties
- 2K spray fillers
- 2K acrylic primers
- 2K epoxy primers
Important Notes
- Using too much hardener may cause discoloration in the topcoat
- Always use appropriate personal protective equipment (respiratory and eye protection)
- Work in a well-ventilated area
- Clean tools immediately after use
- Always follow the instructions provided in the Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
